The Samsung WEP210 Bluetooth Headset is certainly inexpensive, but it is also a mediocre product at best. Here are my observations:Pros -+ Price - Inexpensive (I got mine on a "Gold Box" special)+ Easy To Setup - Phone Pairing to my Blackberry 8330 was very quick and easy+ Battery Life - I got a solid 3+ hours of phone use out of itCons -- Fit - Neither the standard or extra (included) ear piece were comfortable, and the cheap plastic ear loop didn't help much- Audio Quality - The max volume is just too low making it hard to hear calls in a noisy environment- Connection - The Bluetooth connection is easily interrupted, causing fading in the conversation for no apparent reasonOverall I am not too disappointed as this was not very expensive and will likely be useful to one of my kids for their phone or game system, but it will be replaced by another product for my cell phone use.Not recommended.CFH
It is kind of flimsy (especially the ear piece), but as long as your not rough with it, it's fine. This headset is excellent for it's price (i got it for $10 last week in lightning deals ~_~). I bought it for gaming (Ps3), and i have to say its better than a lot of headsets i have seen. As for cellular phone usage, i cant really comment on the quality (haven't tried yet). Great for gaming and the price is fair so you really cant go wrong with this purchase ~_~
Yes. I thought it was just me, or that I hadn't put it in my ear properly, but no, it's the headset. Why. They're a flat toggle on the side, and you need to almost use a finger nail to press them. Here's a short list:1) As many people have said, the volume is way too low, even on maximum volume.
Plus, the headset is so small that you need to grasp it while you toggle the volume to not have the headset shift around or out of your ear.4) The multi-function button is not intuitive. Done that a few times.5) What is with the earpiece and loop. Firstly, the instructions that descibe them are impossible to understand. Would I buy it again.
Absolutely. Is it usable. To operate the voice dialing, you must press and hold for one second. This bluetooth headset is pretty bad. Because of #3.3) The volume up/down buttons are tiny, hard to find and hard to use. Absolutely not.
Basically I need to use the loop, but even now I feel like the earpiece is trying to constantly make a getaway from my ear canal. Before you go thinking that it's all bad, here are a few positives:1) The headset is small and discrete.2) The battery life is really good.3) The charging port in the mouthpiece is a neat way to disguise it and keep the headset small.4) From what I can tell, the sound quality to people on the other end is very good. Honestly, most people have to repeat what they say multiple times for me to hear.2) The volume resets itself to moderate every time you turn it off. I'm not going to tip-toe around this review. You would think to operate the voice dialing, you would simply quickly press the button. But if you do that, it redials.
Don't hold for much longer, however, or you will turn it off.
Shouldn't be a problem, but since it needs to be all the way up to hear anything, it gets really annoying.
Heck, of what I can hear it sounds good to me too, it's just always whisper-quiet.Point is, the positives are good, but not nearly good enough to outweigh the negatives.
Are there better ones for the same price.
I am a big fan of Samsung products, and even have a Samsung cell phone, but this headset is just not worth it.
Even with the phone and headset on maximum volume, road and ambient noise make it difficult to hear anything.
Why.
I think you're supposed to be able to use the headset without the loop, but it would never stay in my ear, no matter what I tried.
Even though it is inexpensive, it's still just not good value-for-money.
I bought this headseat to use with a PS3. It keeps a good charge and has nice features. This isn't the most comfortable headset I have had, but for the price it really can't be beat.
poor reception, really bad quality - i am surprise samsung makes this kind of product.
